Cristina Radu believes in a customized approach. Inspired by the idea that “beautiful skin radiates light,” she looks beyond the superficial, focusing instead on holistic well-being; just as each of her clients is unique, so too are the individualized protocols she prescribes for them. Rather than fixate on how skin looks, Cristina knows how skin works, allowing her to infuse her deep knowledge of nutrition and art into every treatment. Understanding that what we put into our bodies is as important as what we put on our bodies, she engages in a comprehensive dialogue that often leads to the discovery of new, handpicked regimens and the elimination of trigger foods and environmental stressors that are as harmful to our complexions as overactive ingredients.
A self-trained chef and jewelry designer, Cristina’s hands are her tools of creative expression, seamlessly molding facial contours as she cleanses, purifies and revitalizes the skin with an old-school mentality and cutting edge technology. Her goal? To create a visible manifestation of her client’s truest selves for skin that is real. Skin that is alive with movement. Skin that refuses to comply with a homogenous standard of beauty. Skin that inspires confidence and, ultimately, self-love.
CRISTINA RADU
Cristina Radu is a healer. Born in Romania, a natural drive drew her to aesthetics, an occupation she saw as an opportunity to create transformative moments with others around a singular, long-held belief: that happiness is giving yourself permission to indulge in self-care.
Determined to tap into this emotional exchange, Cristina defied her parents’ wish for her to enroll in dentistry school, graduating at the top of her class in cosmetology school instead. Beyond facial techniques, her rigorous training focused on anatomy, physics, color theory, aromatherapy, acupressure, feng shui and biochemistry, following a centuries-old lineage of European teaching and methodology. This foundation has given Cristina an understanding of complex ingredients as well as the holistic way our bodies work to create optimal skin health.
Serving a loyal client base since opening her first eponymous skin spa in Beverly Hills in 1989, an intense dedication to her craft keeps Cristina in demand with tastemakers that represent a cross section of Los Angeles. But it’s a near-magical ability to transfer energy through touch that sets her apart. To know Cristina, is to experience her work and understand her higher calling: “I am here for a reason, and I am putting it out into the world.”
